In the past few weeks news has been released with regards to changes in the occupational lists for the TSS visa (Sub 482). The new legislative instrument Migration (LIN 19/048: Specification of Occupations—Subclass 482 Visa) Instrument 2019 abolishes the previous Migration (IMMI 18/048: Specification of Occupations—Subclass 482 Visa) Instrument 2018 and comes into force starting from 11th March 2019.
What are the changes?

Previously, occupations in blue were subject to caveat 9 only; from now on they will have caveat 10 as well. While occupations in red had no limitations under the previous legislative instrument, they are now subject to caveat 10 too.
- Caveat 9: The position predominantly involves responsibility for low‑skilled tasks.
- Caveat 10: The position is not located in regional Australia (within the meaning of sub-regulation 5.19(16) of the Regulations)

The explanatory note originally stated that these occupations had been moved from the STSOL list to the ROL list; this statement was a mistake, as all of these 5 occupations have been completely removed from the list.
